My Beautiful President

Kia ora

This beautiful rose is a favourite of mine. This is the third wallpaper using this rose, President Herbert Hoover, and the second using this same image.

I have tried to create a simple wallpaper using an edge fade and a cracked paper filter to give an aged feel to the wallpaper. I hope you like the effects.

Thank you for popping by this blog to check out my creations.

A Spot of Colour

Kia ora

Another rose for you. This time I have selected a beautiful rose found in the garden at the home of friends, the Vat-t-can, in Milburn, Aotearoa/New Zealand.

I chose to use an effect I really love with this rose, one where the colour of the rose is strong and the background has been blurred and taken back to, almost, greyscale.

Hope you like this wallpaper.

Thanks for popping into my blog and trying my creations.

Tapestry in a Rose

Kia ora

The Creative Technique Challenge in one of my groups recently was to create a texture. The tutorial, by Anita, is found here.

Using one of the Dover images included in the tutorial supplies, I have created a wallpaper for you. Hope you like it.

Pretty in Pink

Kia ora

Time for another rose.

This one is a beautiful large rose from my garden. It grows outside my lounge room and is a stunner. I have played a bit with blend modes and grunge brushes to create an all pink wallpaper.

Hope you enjoy it. The rose was here when I came and no-one thought to leave a list of the roses and I haven't any idea what name belongs with this beauty. :) I found out the name of the last rose, the purple one. It is Ebb Tide, and I've updated my blog with the name on my last post.

Hope you enjoy my latest offering.

The sweet smell of ROSES...

Kia ora

March is a month of ROSES in our A Touch of Class group. Already, I have four wallpapers completed, ready and waiting to upload to my blog.

This beautiful rose came from Demolition World in Invercargill. I photographed it about a year or so ago and I love the gorgeous colour of it. The name is Ebb Tide and it is a floribunda rose.

There is a zip file with three sizes available on 4shared for you to download.

Hope you enjoy this new theme, I know I will.

Thank you.
