The Red Door

Kia ora

Waipapa Point on the south coast of the South Island of Aotearoa/New Zealand is a beautiful place to visit. Sea Lions abound there and there is a disused lighthouse on the point. I was fascinated with the door and the many steps up the hill to that door, a red door, locked and probably no-one has been inside in years.

The swirl is from a PSP Shape from Judy at TOC. Thank you, Judy.

You will find a zip with three sizes here.

Thanks for popping by.

In the Red again

Kia ora

Another gift for you in RED, our theme for February.

This time a photograph I took recently whilst staying with my friends at the Vat-t-can in Milburn. A gorgeous red poppy falls over the path and I couldn't resist it.

Download here.

Thank you.

St Valentines Day

Kia ora

I was reminded today of St Valentines Day. Who was St Valentine and why do we celebrate him on 14 February each year? I do not know.

What I do know is somewhere, oh, not so long ago, we stopped saying St Valentines Day and started saying Valentines Day. Why? That I don't know either. Maybe someone can enlighten me. I'd forgotten about this.

Anyway, here's wishing everyone a wonderfully happy celebration of St Valentines Day this coming Sunday, 14 February.

I have created a desktop in honour of this day and hope you like it. You can download the zip with three different sizes here.

Chinese New Year is also on 14 February and you will find a gorgeous rich red desktop by Judy on her website for Chinese New Year.

Both of these desktops are part of the RED theme running through from our small group of creators for A Touch of Class. I hope you enjoy what we have for you all for this month of February.

Happy St Valentines Day.

Thanks for popping by.

Let the Games begin

Kia ora

On Friday, the XX1 Winter Olympic Games will begin from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with the Opening Ceremony and many of us will be watching as, yet again, another Games Opening Ceremony will absorb us.

I have created a new desktop, this time in acknowledgement of this sporting event. Many thanks to Judy of for the use of her psp maple leaf shape used in this new desktop from me, which I hope you will enjoy.

You can download the desktop in three sizes here.

Thanks for looking.

Red Hot!

Kia ora

This time, a vintage Fire Truck photograph I took last year at the Gore Agricultural and Pastoral [A&P] Show.

One of the great things about country living is the different types of shows and festivals happening in the various towns around the countryside over summer. This past weekend was Crank Up, the Edendale Vintage Machinery Club event, held each year at the end of January. Next month is the Hokonui Moonshine Festival held in Gore, a large town situated about 40 kilometres from where I live, as well as the Waimumu Field Days held in Waimumu, not quite so far from here.

You can download a zip of this desktop in three sizes here.

Thank you for popping by and taking a look at what is available on my blog.

Please take some time to check out the other blogs in A Touch of Class, links are in the side panel, and take a look at the cards too. I'll be making a card, using the same design, shortly.
